Accept Credit Card Payment using Your Mobile Phone

Don't miss out on sales by not accepting credit card payments.  If you're running a booth at an event you might want to consider one of these mobile phone solutions:

Square

Square allows merchants to accept credit card payments using an iPhone, Android, or iPad. Credit cards can be swiped using a free card reader or card numbers can be entered manually.

As of March 2011, Square’s pricing for swiping cards was 2.75%.  Charges for manually entering credit card numbers was 3.5% plus $0.15 per transaction.

OboPay

Obopay allows merchants to accept credit cards, debit cards, and electronic checks from customers for free. Customers use their mobile phone to pay merchants. Fees for the transactions are charged to the customer rather than the merchant.

As of March 2011, Obopay’s pricing for sending money was $0.25 for amounts of $10 or less and $0.50 for amounts over $10.  Debit or credit payments include a 1.5% fee.
