Movie Under the Stars

Bringing outdoor movie magic back to historic downtown Varina.

Fuquay-Varina Downtown will return the nostalgia of an old fashioned outdoor movie night in the historic Varina District May 3 2013 in the Stephens Ace Hardware parking lot.

The movie, shown on a large, inflatable screen with concert-style sound, will be much different from the 1940’s when there was nothing more than a projector and a screen attached to a light pole on what is now Ransdell Road. Keeping with the old tradition, hay bales will be provided for the children but adults are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

Preshow entertainment begins at 7 p.m. and will include a music DJ, and on-screen trivia. The event will run from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. and the feature film will begin at 8 p.m.

Event Entry Fee: $1.00 per person ~ with glow bracelet as entry token. Kids under 2 ~ FREE
