Join us June 2, 2012 for Celebration of the Arts

The Celebration of the Arts is part of a town-wide festival called Celebrate Fuquay-Varina which also includes Run the Quay 5K. This festival showcases regional music acts as well as a variety of free, family-fun entertainment.

The combination of music, great food, fun activities and incredible art vendors attracts large crowds. In 2011, police estimate attendance at the Celebration of the Arts to be more than 8,000 people.

The Celebration of the Arts will be held in Historic Downtown Fuquay on Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 10 am – 4 pm. All art vendors will be located on Main Street.

Call for Artists!

The Celebration of the Arts is open to all artists and fine crafts people producing original work. Exhibited work must be that of the applying artist and reproductions of original work, such as posters and cards, may be sold but may not occupy more than 15% of the total booth space. Commercially produced work from kits, or imported art and goods will not be considered for inclusion in the festival.

The Celebration of the Arts festival is a juried show. To be considered for inclusion, artists must complete an application, and submit 3 images of their work. Booth fees are $80.00 and the application deadline is April 20, 2012. Artists must supply their own display equipment. Exhibitors will be notified by mail if they have been accepted into the festival the week of May 4, 2012.
