2010 Sleigh Rides in Downtown Fuquay-Varina
On Thursday, December 2 from 6-8pm the Fuquay-Varina Revitalization Association will once again be providing free horse drawn sleigh rides in downtown Fuquay-Varina.
As a special thank you to individual Friends of Downtown Fuquay-Varina donors, the first 75 individual donors for the 2011 campaign will receive 2 reserved tickets prior to the event. These tickets serve as a “Fast Pass” and will give you access in front of the lines to ride the sleigh. To learn how to become a friend visit Friends of Downtown Fuquay-Varina.
In the spirit of giving and helping people in our community Fuquay-Varina Downtown has teamed up with the Fuquay-Varina Emergency Food Pantry and is asking everyone to bring a canned food item which will serve as your “ticket” for the sleigh. In case you forget a canned good, we will have a FV Food Pantry donation box available. Line set up will begin at 5:30. The sleigh ride will be first come, first serve, unless you have a “fast pass friend ticket”. The line will begin at TR Ashworth and will extend down the sidewalks on Main and Depot Street. Children age 2 and under must sit on an adult’s lap during the sleigh ride. The last ride of the evening will be at 7:55 pm
FVRA would like to thank Patriot State Bank for generously sponsoring this annual family favorite event.
Also during the sleigh rides is the Christmas Tree Lighting starting at 7pm and sponsored by the Town of Fuquay-Varina.
