Vintage Cars on Display Wednesday, October 28

Vintage Cars from More than 30 States Manufactured 1931 or Earlier

Many of you may remember the Brass Nickel Tour that came to Fuquay-Varina in 1999. The tour will be here again the week of October 26-30 with a display on Main Street the evening of Wednesday, October 28 from 5-9 pm. More than 90 cars manufactured prior to 1931 are part of this Antique Automobile Club of America Vintage Tour which includes registrants from 30 states.

Main Street will be closed to motor traffic the night of the event. Come take a peek at these beauties from another era and enjoy a great fall evening in downtown Fuquay-Varina.

ALSO, view 100 YEARS ON PARADE, a COSTUME CONTEST. Participate by entering on of the following categories:

Categories:
1. Family/Couple
2. Parent/Child or Grandparent/Grandchild
3. Individual
4. Groups (cheerleaders, teens, hippies, seniors etc.)
5. Man with BEARD & dress for era

Registration will begin at 6:00 p.m. in front of Fidelity Bank. All entries will be presented from the steps of Fidelity Bank at 6:45 p.m. Judges decisions will be announced from the stage later that night and prizes will be awarded! For more information on the contest, call Shirley at 552-5562.
