About Us: Priorities

Image and infrastructure enhancement
Activities include continuation of the facade and awning removal grant programs, supporting the implementation of streetscape to completion in 2005 and garnering the support of property owners and merchants.

Historic District Development
Activities include encouraging new construction, providing centralized information on downtown properties and market availability, working with the town on the existing sign ordinances, finding and recruiting specialty retailers, creating opportunities for group advertising and direct mail, and investigating the installation of signage to attract people to downtown.

Increase Downtown Foot Traffic
Activities include creating community excitement, continuing to promote our unique history, coordinating special events and marketing downtown businesses and activities.

Build Partnerships
Activities include increasing communications and recruiting active financial and volunteer support.
